The view that principle of good faith should be regarded as "King's Item" in civil law has been the greneral view in Chinese civil circles. But either from the origin or in the development, principle of good faith has a tight relation with human's sactions. Moreover, compared with civil law, business law has commercial trustworth in larger scale, therefore, the economic fundamention, historical development and the academic study trend of principle of good faith all suggest that it plays a more important role in the field of business law. There are obvious differences in scope of application, fundamention, contents and so on between the principle of good faith in business law and that in civil law. Starting from the angle of comparsion and study, this paper suggested that priciple of good faith is more applicable in business law. And integrating with the trend that priciple of good faith is playing a more and more important role in modern law, considering the development of social market economy in Chine, this paper further suggests the special importance of establishing the social environment dominated by good faith to supply and complete our law system.
